BOSTON – Rajon Rondo scored 30 points and Kevin Garnett made the go-ahead basket with 13.3 seconds left to lead the Boston Celtics to a 96-93 victory over Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference playoff series on Tuesday night.

Despite Anthony’s 42 points, the Celtics were able to extend their lead to 2-0 in the best-of-seven playoff series. Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire scored just four points on 2-of-9 shooting in the first half. He was unable to play in the second half because of a stiff back.
