The Duke coach’s first attempt at becoming the winningest men’s coach in Division I history comes Tuesday night.

Mike Krzyzewski won his 903rd career game Tuesday night, passing his mentor Bob Knight atop the all-time D1 coaching wins list. A victory by the sixth-ranked Duke BlueDevils over Michigan State in New York would leave Krzyzewski alone atop the list with 903 wins—and counting—for his Hall of Fame career.

Junior guard Andre Dawkins had 26 points for Duke, which took control with a 20-1 run that gave the Blue Devils a 61-41 lead with 9:17 to play and then it was just a matter of counting down the minutes until the celebration could get under way.  Final Score Duke 74, MSU 69.
