Lebron James and the Miami Heat have done what many didn’t believe they could, beat the Boston Celtics and return to the NBA Finals. After Game 5, the Miami Heat fell down 3-2 in the series to the Boston Celtics and their chances to return to the NBA Finals seemed slim. Refusing to lose, Lebron James put the Heat on his back and with a 45 point game, led the Miami Heat to a win in Game 6 to tie the series at 3-3.

In a Game 7, where Miami trailed by 7 at the half, Miami’s big 3 came together in the second half to energize their team and get the win over the Celtics. The injury plagued Chris Bosh, who missed the first 4 games of the series, scored 19 points and shot 3-3 from the three. Lebron James dominated the game with 31 points and 12 rebounds. Dwayne Wade added to the effort with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assist to help the Heat defeat the Celtics in a 101-88 victory in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Miami Heat have won the battle, but the war is far from over. They advance to play in their second consecutive NBA Finals where they will meet Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder for a chance to win the franchise’s second NBA Championship. Lebron James is after his first ring, but only time will tell if he will win it and add his name to the list of true champions. Tune in to Game 1 of the 2012 NBA Finals Tuesday night as the Heat travel to Oklahoma City to take on KD and the Thunder.
