Infinit’s long awaited range-extended electric Emerg-E sports car has been shown in Geneva at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

With two mid-mounted electric motors driving the rear wheels and a range-extending three-cylinder engine to keep the motors running when lithium-ion power runs out, the car offers up to 30 miles of emission-free driving and puts out 402 hp, making 0 to 60 mph in around 4 seconds and producing a top speed of 130mph. After making the famed Goodwood hill climb, Webber commented of his drive, “I’m used to Formula One cars that make a lot of noise, so to drive a silent car was very new to me! Infiniti have made something really nice here… Cars like this have to be the future – fast, fun and clean.” The company however hasn’t confirmed any plans for production.
