Aspid has revealed the first details about their upcoming GT-21 Invictus. Based on the Super Sport, the model rides on an 176 lb aluminum chassis and features a composite body that resembles a futuristic Plymouth Prowler.

Despite the retro appearance, the car is thoroughly modern as it has a dual-screen UniDrive infotainment system (with GSM/GPRS/GPS/WiFi) and an innovative twin-disc braking system that is lightweight and virtually eliminates overheating.

Interior pictures were not released, but the GT-21 is highly customizable and can be equipped with more than 100 options including a rear seat. Additionally, the boot holds 275 liters (9.7 cubic feet) of luggage.

Power comes from a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter (4361cc) V8 engine with 331 kW / 444 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. It can be connected to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. This enables the 965 kg (2,127 lb) sports car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than three seconds and hit a top speed of 189 mph.

If everything goes according to plan, the first model will go into production in 2014 and 250 GT-21s will be built annually.
