Solange is starting to “blow up”. (If you could see the 35 year old white guy using that phrase you’d realise how awkward it truly is!) It would be easy for the starlet to have never emerged from the huge shadow cast by her sister but she is no shrinking violet.

She recently sat down and had an interview performed by none-other-than her big sister Beyonce! The discussion is wide ranging and covers everything from Solange’s album to the fact their dad looks like Master P!

It would be easy for an interview between two sisters who are already massively familiar with one another to veer off and become boring. Thankfully that doesn’t seem to happen in this interview.
Beyonce had this to say to her lil’ sis.
“I’m so happy to interview you because, clearly, I’m your biggest fan and I’m super proud of you.”
Solange replied with:
“I remember having so much perspective about my voice, and how to use my voice, at such a young age—whether it was through dance, poetry, or coming up with different projects,”
“I guess I always felt a yearning to communicate—I had a lot of things to say. And I appreciated y’all’s patience in the house during all of these different phases.”
Beyonce pointed out that Solange writes a lot of her own lyrics and quizzed her about how she maintains inspiration when dealing with so many creative projects. Solange replied with:
“It varies. For one, I got to have a lot of practice. Growing up in a household with a master class such as yourself definitely didn’t hurt.
And, as far back as I can remember, our mother always taught us to be in control of our voice and our bodies and our work,
and she showed us that through her example. If she conjured up an idea, there was not one element of that idea that she was not going to have her hand in.”
The sky is the limit with this massively talnted young lady. If you want to read the full interview you can do here.
