Kevin Durant could become the franchise player that Under Armour is looking for as the Baltimore-based brand is reportedly readying a $30 million per year deal for services of the reigning NBA MVP, according to the New York Daily News. This comes on the heels of a story that broke yesterday about Durant cancelling a three-day trip to the Nike World Headquarters in Oregon. Durant’s original seven-year deal with Nike expired last week. Michael McBride, Under Armour’s senior manager of sports marketing, is fueling the flames by posting a cryptic tweet today that hints at a potential big-time name coming over to the brand. Whether or not that is Durant remains to be seen.
