CHRISTIAN Rapper Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison for TWISTED Crime

When you hear about rappers accosting somebody else, you tend to think it’s with another rapper with whom he/she is feuding but not this time. A Christian Rapper, Ryan Salandy, accosted his record producer, William McDaniel, when they got into an argument over CD’s. Allegedly, he paid McDaniel $300 to burn 150 CD’s containing his music.

Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. We’re not sure what exactly the conflict was about but it must have been something big because, shortly after the argument, Salandy returned and struck McDaniel with his car, killing him. A witness said Salandy began speeding toward McDaniel and stuck him, then quickly fled the scene.

What’s interesting about the incident, though, is he didn’t resist arrest. He came quietly and it gets even crazier. His mother was the one who called the authorities to have him arrested, saying he was involved in the incident and that he could be found at their home. He was taken into custody but didn’t inquire about McDaniels’s condition until six hours later.

Not only that but he even confessed to the crime and was sentenced to 18 years in the local Montgomery Count penitentiary in Maryland. The rapper, known by his stage name, Ry Money, is not very well-renowned with only three of his songs on Youtube. The 26-year-old Christian rapper was initially sentenced to 30 years in jail but the judge suspended 12 of them.  We’re not sure why at the moment.

He was convicted of second-degree murder a few months ago but the victim’s family believes he deserves more than 18 years in prison and left the court house distraught over the sentencing. We now have confirmation that they were having a contractual dispute, although the details of the argument remain unclear.

Allegedly, he told his mom that it was an accident but later admitted it was intentional. Hopefully, he’s learned his lesson and will try to do better going forward.
