What could have been… It is now being reported that Dame Dash is claiming that the Notorious B.I.G. was planning on signing with Roc-A-Fella Records, prior to his brutal murder.
Many are feeling the pangs of Biggie Smalls’ death yet again, as the news surfaces that the Notorious B.I.G. was planning to team up with Jay Z over at Roc-A-Fella Records; all of this according to the record label’s face – Dame Dash.
In a controversial new interview with Hip Hop Motivation, hip hop mogul Dame dash is claiming that the legendary Brooklyn rapper was planning on leaving pal Puff Daddy’s label, Bad Boy Records.
The news has people yet again speculating as to whether if Sean Puffy Combs had anything to with the legendary plus sized rapper’s demise.
Dash explains:“Biggie’s plan was give Puff and them like three more albums then come sign with us, and we was gon’ do The Commission. That was what was gonna happen, or at least that’s what was talked about very seriously. I think that’s why he did a double album. He was gonna do a triple album, and he was gonna be out his contract, and then he was gonna come fuck with us.”
Many of the hip hop communities biggest stars have come out to speak about the late great rapper, since it has recently marked the twentieth anniversary of his death. One such individual if friend to the rapper, the Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon, who spoke to XXL about how important Chris Wallace was to the industry: “What B.I.G. meant to hip-hop is that he was one of the dudes that came from nothing and turned into something. His talent exceeded everything. He knew how to rhyme. He knew how to freestyle. He knew how to make songs. He was clever. Had a lot of metaphorical shit. More importantly, he was representing New York to the fullest.”
Small’s was such a legend, that it seems new news will never cease to surface.
