Damian Lillard Is Feeling The Effects Of Lil Wayne’s Beef With Birdman

Damian Lillard recently released a brand new album “The Letter O.” Due to label issues, the album has to make changes because of Lil Wayne’s issues with his label. The NBA player removed Lil Wayne’s feature on his song “Loyal to the Soil.”

“Unfortunately, I am being forced to remove Lil Wayne from #TheLetterO track ‘Loyal to the Soil’…”. “Despite my agreement with Wayne, his parent label is forcing me to remove him.”

When it comes to label issues this isn’t the first time we’ve heard complaints. It is unclear if its Cash Money issues, or Universal not letting the feature happen

Lil Wayne spoke about his issues with Cash Money Records during an appearance on ESPN’s His & Hers. Weezy compared his situation to Chris Bosh’s problems with the Miami Hea“It’s a perfect example that you aren’t bigger than the game,” says Wayne. “You’re not bigger than the team, and once you’re off the team, it’s not—we don’t care. Once you’re off the team, we don’t care. We’re still a team and we have to conduct ourselves as such, and we have to make the most for us. Reason being, I’m going through the same situation myself. So I know how it is. Everything I’ve done for them, they wouldn’t be them without me, but I’m off the team, so it’s, ‘Screw him as long as we can. Make sure we screw him as much as we can, and when we can’t no more, let’s see what happens.’”

Lil Wayne has stated several times via concerts, television, and tweets he is done with Cash Money and Birdman.

Initially when Damian Lillard released The Letter O, Cash Money Records had a problem with Lil Wayne being on Loyal to the Soil, but after a short legal dispute both sides agreed that the song could stay in its original format. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Letter_O
