Since his success, Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter and actor Drake has found himself close to the game of basketball. Not only does the platinum-selling artist serve as global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, but Graham also participated in the University of Kentucky’s big blue madness exhibition game in 2014.

Thus, it shouldn’t surprise many that the man likes to ball. His latest basketball related hijinks, however, should.

In footage posted on his Instagram account, Drake attempts to impress not only by knocking down a shot from half court, but by doing so while laying down, captioning the shot taken in an Atlanta Hawks facility, “For the KIA!!!!!”.

This isn’t the first time Drizzy has participated in the art of the trick shot. He was spotted practicing his novelty shooting this past spring at a SLAM Magazine photo shoot, which also featured Toronto Raptor backcourt and Olympic Gold medal winners Kyle Lowry, and Demar Derozan.

Drake’s level of intimacy with the game of basketball includes giving gifts to Laker legend Kobe Bryant, betting upwards of 60k on the NBA finals and enjoying floor seats at Toronto Raptor home games. Graham was also implicated in two NCAA violations in relation to the University of Kentucky’s basketball team, one of which was concerned with the preferential treatment of a student athlete after a concert on May 29, 2015. The player in question was declared ineligible before finally returning to active status on October 14 of 2015.

Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari shared two tweets in the aftermath of a cease and desist order aimed at the rapper, affirming a still-positive relationship between the two icons calling the the entertainer “a dear friend.”

Despite the politics getting in the way of Drake’s involvement and appreciation for those who play the game, and the game itself, it would still appear that ball, is in fact, life.
