While Frank Ocean has managed to keep his fans at bay with the prolonged release of his second studio album, Boys Don’t Cry, that hasn’t put a damper on his fun. Thursday morning, the singer was spotted in Los Angeles enjoying a night on the town with A$AP Rocky and Tyler The Creator.

The “Pyramids” songwriter made an appearance on Rocky’s snapchat as he prepared to street race Tyler in what was a fast but far from furious road contest. With A$AP documenting the joy ride from the passenger seat, the duel was a 20 second whirlwind of jokes and laughs. And, of course no mention of an album release date.

Fans have been expecting Ocean’s follow up to Channel Orange, to drop for weeks now, with anticipation growing after a live stream video of Frank woodworking was posted to his website. Unfortunately, to their dismay the album’s release is still up in the air leaving us all to wonder – does it even exist?

Earlier this week, Ocean’s producer and friend Malay took to Reddit to speak briefly on the album’s progress.

“We all massively appreciate and love you guys, Frank has told me this himself many times,” Malay told a fan who asked about the impending release.

“To be fair tho [sic], art cannot be rushed. It’s about making sure the perfect aesthetic for the situation has been reached, to do that, takes constant tweaking, trial, and error. That goes for any creative [situation].”

As the wait for new music continues, the sight of Frank doing anything other than recording has fans going into a frenzy:

While we would like to be optimistic and assume Frank was actually rushing to the studio or perhaps back to his woodworking project to finish up the album, we won’t be holding our breaths.
