French Police Makes MAJOR Breakthrough In Kim Kardashian Robbery Case

Police recently arrested several people during raids in Paris and Southern France while investigating a robbery case. Agnes Thiebault-Lecuivre, a spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutor’s office told the New York Times that “that the oldest of those arrested was 72 and that several of the others were in their 40s 50s and 60s which suggested that they were part of an ‘experienced’ group,” according to the the Times.

This case has been linked to the high-profile robbery of Kim Kardashian West in Paris last October. During the robbery, a group of thieves burst into the private residence of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian where she was held at gunpoint. They eventually managed to escape on bicycles with jewelry valued at over $10 million. It’s unknown where Kanye was at the time.

It’s not clear exactly how many people were arrested in connection with the raids. Some French media outlets say 16 while others have reported the number to be 17. Regardless, it seems like most, if not all, of the people responsible for theses robberies are now securely locked up in the hoosegow for the foreseeable future.

Officials told the news agency, “One of the DNA samples matched an individual known to police for robbery and criminal offenses, who is considered to be a major thug. We were able to build up a picture of the criminal network behind the robbery and we believe it stretches all the way to Belgium.” The police targeted those suspected of being involved in the robbery. The case is still ongoing.

Immediately after the ordeal, a spokeswoman said that Kim was “badly shaken but physically unharmed” as the Two-Way noted at the time. She’s been keeping a relatively low profile since the incident, but she recalled the incident on an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians. “They’re going to shoot me back” she said in the video. Hopefully, her belongings will eventually be recovered and returned to her.
