It seems as though Facebook’s popular photo-sharing app Instagram is looking to take out Snapchat with it’s newest feature, Instagram Stories.
Instagram Stories, much like Snapchat itself, allows users to share “moments” (stills and/or videos) with their followers without having to keep them on their profile.
“With Instagram Stories, you don’t have to worry about overposting. Instead, you can share as much as you want throughout the day — with as much creativity as you want. You can bring your story to life in new ways with text and drawing tools. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in feed.” – Instagram
As you’ll see in the video above, the new add-on gives you a ton of the same options that Snap offers including the ability to add smooth text, emojis, and drawings to visuals.
Could this be it for Snapchat?
For the sake of not having to switch between apps – we kind of hope so.
Instagram already has more than 500 million users, and that figure is only going to continue growing.
