American singer, songwriter and actress Barbra Streisand may have unintentionally revealed the future release date of the much anticipated iPhone 7. The 10x grammy award winner may have disclosed such in an NPR interviewed concerned with the mispronunciation of her name by Siri, a popular IPA service offered by Apple Inc.
The slip occurred after NPR’s Scott Simon asked Siri, “Who’s the only female vocalist who’s had hit records for six straight decades?” The answer….Barbra Streisand who herself acknowledged that her name was in fact uttered incorrectly.
The 2x Academy award winner went on to explain that the glitch would be taken care of, after making a phone call to Apple CEO Tim Cook. “I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30th,” Streisand revealed.
So…..being that Apple has previously released its newest iOS version with the release of their newest iPhone model, did “Babs” let the hat out of the bag as to when the iPhone 7 will debut? Probably.
Regardless of Streisand’s revelation, a myriad of information has already been circulating in relation to the iPhone 7 and the many improvements and features the phone will posses including: stereo speakers, increased battery capacity, water resistance, and an improved dual lens camera that would enable for greater quality images to be taken in low light.
According to French technology blog Nowhereelse.fri via CNET, it has been reported that the iPhone 7 may be shipped with dual speakers, making it the first time that an iPhone would contain an additional speaker providing a soundstage experience for those listening to music, watching videos or playing video games.
It has also been reported that the phone would be able to be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes.
Whether Siri’s mispronunciation of Barbra Streisand’s name has assisted the public in identifying the debut of Apple’s newest update or not, Apple fans can enjoy salivating over the products leaks for at least another month.
