Joe Budden has been in the rap game for some time now. In his 15 year career, the rapper has had his fair share of rap beef. Budden talked with The Combat Jack Show podcast promoting his new album Rage & The Machine.
When the OG rapper was asked about Drake’s new diss song “Two Birds, One Stone” where he disses Pusha T AND Kid Cudi, Budden had plenty to say. “The fact that we’re even talking about Drake in that arena is a win for Drake,” said Budden when questioned. “His arrogance is what will eventually be the demise of him,” was also another statement Budden made.`1
“Two Birds, One Stone,” premiered with three other new songs on Drake’s birthday edition of OVO Sound Radio.
“You were the man on the moon, Now you just go through your phases, Life of the angry and famous.” Kid Cudi fans were extremely upset by the insensitive comments about Kid Cudi’s mental health by Drake and took to social media to air him out.
“But really, it’s you with all the drug dealer stories that’s gotta stop though,You made a couple chops and now you think you Chapo,If you ask me though you ain’t lining the trunk with kilos,You bagging weed with all your niggas watching Pacino,” were the lines calling out Pusha T and questioning his past in the drug game.
Drake’s Kid Cudi diss comes after Cudi called him out on Twitter, however, the beef with Pusha T goes way back to 2012 when Pusha T released the song “Exodus 23:1.” Pusha also continued to throw shots at Drake in his 2015 song, “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets.” Although Pusha T said in a Funk Flex interview the shots weren’t at Drake, it seems Drake still felt the need to say how he felt about Pusha.
As Joe Budden stated his arrogance might be his downfall, but it doesn’t look like Drake will be falling anytime soon.
