The VMA is going down this Sunday at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. This year’s ceremony has a star-studded lineup of confirmed performers by the likes of Kanye West, Rihanna, Future, Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears with G-Eazy, Nick Jonas with Ty Dolla $ign, and the Chainsmokers with Halsey.

One name on that list everyone is keeping an eye out for is Kanye aka Pablo, aka Yeezus, aka Kanye Kardashian, aka how many names does this guy have? TMZ has reported and confirmed that VMA producers have given Mr. Kanye West one-hundred percent freedom to do whatever the hell he pleases for his allotted four minutes of performance time.

Let’s think about this for a second: Kanye West gets to do whatever he wants? At the VMA’s? That’s primetime right there especially with Kanye’s controversial history there. Who could ever forget that crazy night in 2009 when he was gone off that personal Hennessy bottle, gripping Amber Rose’s cheeks on the red carpet, right before his infamous moment with Taylor Swift.

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, Imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…one of the best videos of all time!”

Kanye West didn’t even perform that night but he stole the show and definitely took Taylor’s thunder. There’s no telling what Kanye is going to do this year but with his personal history at the VMA’s and his success this year, it’s definitely must-see TV.

Will he perform hits off the Pablo album—like “Famous,” possibly with Taylor Swift present? I wouldn’t be surprised if he did, especially after Kim recently shaded her on Snapchat for playing the victim.

How about he performs his newest single “Champions” off his upcoming album Cruel Winter and brings out all the cameos on the track? That would be insane since he has Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, Quavo, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, and Desiigner on the track! All we can do for now is wait til’ Sunday.

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards airs on MTV on August 28 at 9 p.m. EST.
