While Del Toro didn’t cut its teeth making sneakers, the lounge footwear label has quickly found a winner in its Alto Chukka shoe — a whimsical, yet carefully crafted rendition of the streetwear staple. New for the label’s forthcoming Fall/Winter 2012 line, is the Alto Chukka in a Navy Camo colorway. Remaining faithful to the Alto profile, this shoe is also hand made in Italy from a premium suede leather upper atop Del Toro’s margom rubber sole. It also features color-matched laces and a heel pull-tab. Expect the Navy Camo Suede Alto Chukka to retail for $335 USD when it lands at the Del Toro web shop.

SoRaspy: PUMA Monadnock City Boot

In more ways than one, PUMA has been in the spotlight lately — most notably for its association with the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt. While London 2012 may have plummeted its sprinters to the forefront, PUMA is looking to also capitalize elsewhere within the realm of rugged, outdoor-inspired footwear. The latest drop from the brand sees a special Monadnock City Boot arrive via select retailers including Livestock. The high top boot boasts an almost seamless fusion between the brand’s sports and technically-driven footwear segment with all the trappings that can be expected of a durable boot. Set atop a heavy lugged outsole, the pair is constructed from paneled leathers, and features heavy metal eyelets and threaded hike boot laces. Priced at $170 USD retail, availability is now offered directly through Livestock.

We are definitely feeling Stone Island and Diemme’s take on the chukka here. The newly released Wool Flannel Chukka comes in two great colors including a light grey and green.
