Say hello to…Antoine Fuqua.

The Southpaw and Magnificent Seven director, Antoine Fuqua is in talks with Universal for the remake of Scarface.

This will be the third Scarface movie following the 1932 original and the 1983 remake starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana.

There are no signs of what actor will fill the shoes of Al Pacino. There are reports that the set will be in modern-day Los Angeles, moving away from the Miami set that was used in the 1983 film.

Marty Bregman who produced the 1983 Scarface is set to return for a producing role this time around as well while Jonathan Herman from Straight Outta Compton, wrote the latest draft of the new Scarface.

Fuqua is no stranger to directing crime movies, with movies like Training Day, Shooter and the upcoming Magnificent Seven under his belt. Do you think Fuqua has what it takes to take on the classic Scarface?
